Personal Care and Assistance
Assistance with having a bath/shower, taking care of teeth, combing/brushing, shaving, using the toilet and dealing with urinary incontinence, dressing and undressing, getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
Shopping and food preparation
Menu and nutrition planning, purchase planning and purchasing, food preparation, table setting, and assistance with keeping company, eating, tidying up the kitchen and taking medicines.
Assistance with going to a doctor’s surgery (office), a chemist’s shop, a hairdresser’s/ barber’s shop, a church or a cemetery, and accompanying a person to events, meetings, excursions and etc.
Driving a person to a doctor’s surgery (office), a church, a shop and etc. An assistant can drive your car or his/her car.
Keeping company at home
Offering activities and amusements/entertainment, walking, encouraging mobility, reading and playing games, watching TV, engaging in hobbies and etc.
These include washing and ironing, vacuuming and cleaning, changing bedding, taking rubbish out, looking after pets and carrying out minor work in the garden (watering/hosing, sweeping).
Assistance with going to bed, using the toilet, getting up in the morning, taking medicines, looking after wellbeing and etc.
Assistance and caregiving in a palliative situation
Assistance with solving computer problems, using a computer and teaching a person how to use software applications and etc.
Assistance with paying bills, ordering new services and the like.
